Duarte's Pies

My Grandmother, Emma Duarte, baked pies at our family restaurant for forty-eight years, beginning in 1934.  She would come to the restaurant at about nine in the morning, bake pies until noon, and then wait on tables until closing time about nine p.m. She took great pride in making her pies. People drove from San Francisco just for a slice, and these days people from all over the world come for our pies, soups, and seafood dishes. In 2004 we began selling our unbaked-frozen pies to local markets so they would be more easily available to our customers.

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
